We are a shotgun sporting clay facility that offers a 14 stand sporting clay course and a five stand. We are located off highway 20, 9 kms south of the Hamlet of Winfield and 5.2 km north of the Hamlet of Hoadley.

CLAY SHOOTING

Our sporting clay course meanders though 35 acres of white and black spruce, mature tamaracks, cotton woods and poplar trees a natural setting over looking a small creek. Our land is 156 acres that is  bordered by crown land to the west and protected natural area of the Black Spruce Fen to the east.   We have top of the line Promatic clay throwers that are connected to a Long Range remote control at each station to offer ease of use and range of the clay throwers at our stations.

Our five stand is 10 x 80 feet with 5 shooting windows. It offers a wide range of target presentations which then change from each shooting window in one location.

The only time the shotgun may be loaded is when the shotgun is through the opening in the shooting stand and the shooter is ready to shoot.

Why sporting clays?

Sporting clays provides excellent practice for a broad variety of shotgunning. We use unique target presentations that makes sporting clays fun and challenging.

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?

Hearing protection and eye protection are mandatory for anyone on the course.

  • Free, disposable ear-plugs are available at the clubhouse as well as ear muffs/defenders are available to borrow. 
  • Prescription glasses or sunglasses provide adequate eye protection. Safety glasses are available for purchase. 

 A hat is recommended.

CAN MINORS SHOOT? 

Yes, those under the age of 16 can with a signed "Minor Release Waiver"  

Shooters under the age of 18 years must be under the direct supervision of a responsible adult who possesses a valid PAL license, and must be no more than an arms’ length away from that adult at all times.
DO I NEED A GUN LICENCE?

At least one person must have a PAL within a group of four shooters. 

IS THE COURSE ACCESSIBLE FOR SOMEONE WITH MOBILITY ISSUES?

We have side by sides for rent for those with hip or knee problems.
